Title of review: "Skinwalker"!
I am calling the review "Skinwalker" because "Skinwalker" was not included on the U.S. release!
It's also a fitting description of the album.
There are three different pressings of this album with completely different tracks.
But this version I will try to review just the songs included on this version.
"Scared to Death" – is a song about STD's and the dangers of getting a life threatening STD.
"Scared to have sex, man I'd be next"!
It was so rare to hear an 80's metal artist singing a song about the dangers of "just having sex with anyone".
"Somebody to Love" - It's amazing cover of a Jefferson Airplane original!
This cover is not on most editions of the album so if you are lucky enough to find it, hoah!
"Keep Holding On" - Very nice ballad!
This song is a chance to show off Blackie Lawless's vocals!
Good harmonies!
Bob Kulick shines on lead guitar. I often feel that Bob was given more creative freedom on what he could do on this album. I believe Bob was listed as a "guest member", at the time.
Mark Joesphson played "electric violin"! Imagine that! An "electric violin" on a metal album!
This album is a great follow-up to "Crimson Idol'!
