1990 was a good year for death metal in the United States, but also in the United Kingdom. Benediction released their debut album Subconscious Terror. It's definitely no slouch and can stand side by side with any American release that same year. It fast paced drumming, riffing, and death growl vocals will have your fist in the air and your head banging. They try to set an atmosphere with some of the clips they use at the beginning and ends of songs. While this may or may not work for you, it does add a little something to the overall feel of the record. The title track, Eternal Eclipse, and Spit Forth the Dead are the real stand out tracks for me and show a glimpse of what the band will start sounding like on future releases. If you are into death metal like me, then give Benediction a listen because I'm sure you'll enjoy them.
