this is really going to end up being a classic county CD. Stewart's voice has a lot of the characteristics of the older country performers. there is a distinct waver which makes him sound like he is truly in a miserable state of being. this quality is what made the original country singers so popular among their demographic. most of today's country singers seem to have gone to the sound of Las Vegas nightclub performers with long drawn out, held-to-the-point-of-exhaustion, high notes. either that or they have taken up the guitar smashing business. anyone can listen to "Drinkin Thing", or "Whiskey Trip", or "She's Actin Single" and once again hear the essence of country music. it is becoming a rare thing to hear. this is a long awaited and refreshing return to a mostly lost, and sorely missed, music form. if Hip-Hop and modern country music make ya feel like beatin your radio with your boot, then this CD is gonna soothe your soul.
