"Third Eye Blind" is the 6x Platinum certified self-titled debut album by Third Eye Blind, (comprised of Stephan Jenkins on vocals, Kevin Cadogan on guitar, Arion Salazar on bass, and Brad Hargreaves on drums) that was released on April 8, 1997. While the album only peaked at #25 on the Billboard 200, it remained charted for 104 weeks. The band released 5 singles from the album which included "Semi-Charmed Life", "How's It Going to Be", "Graduate", "Losing a Whole Year", and "Jumper" in that order. Three singles charted in the Billboard Hot 100 which were "Semi-Charmed Life", "Jumper", and "How's It Going to Be". Three additional musicians appeared on the album, Michael Urbano on drums (Tracks 1-2,6,13), Eric Valentine on Piano (Tracks 7,14), guitar (Track 11) and keyboards (Track 11), and Ari Gorman on cello (Track 6). It's a very catchy and easy on the ears album that is easily one of the best albums of the 90s. Key tracks include "Losing a Whole Year", "Semi-Charmed Life", "Jumper", "Graduate", "How's It Going to Be", "I Want You" (Even though it's very close to a pop song), "The Background", and "Motorcycle Drive By". Honorable Mentions include "Narcolepsy", "Burning Man", and "God of Wine".
