Given To The Wildby The Maccabees

Into the wild is undoubtedly the Maccabees best album to date. It feels like a coming of age piece for the band who, on the previous two albums, adopted more of an 'indie-pop' approach with creative guitar riffs which brought them their more famous tracks such as 'Love You Better' and 'Toothpaste Kisses'. Things have changed substantially this time around. The band brought in Tim Goldsworthy who has added a whole new dimension to their tracks bringing electric sounds. I could not find a song I could fault, each one perfectly poised just enough to let the emotions the song conveys out without going overboard, much like Arcade Fire. Fantastic album, 9.75 out of 10! Give it a go!
