Kveikur is a dramatic and classic disc. An album meditated and full of movement, change but always in perfect balance and harmony. It starts with Brennistein ("Sulfur"), which brings the band to the metal sound, in contrast with the delicate voice of Jónsi. Also the title track Kveikur affected by a force that almost makes you forget that only three tracks before you were traveling on an iceberg (Ísjaki) in the middle of the sea, up to the closing track "Var", which is really a haven of peace and serenity after a very tense album. Every song, every poem of this album, has a special meaning in the position where it is. Then you do all the comparisons you want with geysers, volcanoes and desolate landscapes of Iceland, but the trip offered by Sigur Rós is not of this world.
