Souvenirsby Dan Fogelberg

“Souveniers” is Dan Fogelberg’s 2nd LP, originally relaased in 1974. Moving away from Nashville recording and studios of Dan’s excellent debut “Home Free”, he reloacates to Colorado with a new studio & producer:guitarist Joe Walsh. Thhe CD is a quite good 2nd effort., but in my opinion does not match “Home Free”. Therefore, the LP is more ‘guitar’ based and it’s a good thing. “Part Of The Plan’ was Dan’s first ‘hit’ and it’s very guitar driven and latin tinged. I feel Fogelberg does better at ballads, like “There’s a Place In The World For A Gambler” or “Better Change”. All and all, it’s a keeper of a CD! Buy it!!
