1970's "Climbing" is Mountain's (Leslie West, Felix Pappalardi, Corky Laing) first official release. It features the bluesy hit song "Mississippi Queen" and other equally great rock songs like: "Boys In The Band", "Silver Paper" and "For Yasgu's Farm". Cream's bassist Jack Bruce lends a composition hand with the sultry "Theme From An Imaginary Western" and Felix's wife Gail Collins contributes a lot of co-writing credits as well. The songs as a whole has a certain likeable swagger to it. All and all, this is a great rock record and very worthy of buying. Get it!!
