This is the debut album of Chris Daughtry's band, Daughtry, and is titled...Daughtry! Guess what. The songs are similarly predictable. That said, I do love to hear Chris sing, he has a beautiful voice (almost too perfect at times), but his songs are fairly formulaic pop-radio stuff. "Home" is a nice, light song. "What I Want" is a little different, with a harder rock sound, featuring Slash on the guitar. I do like "There and Back Again" - why wasn't that one released as a single?? The album had seven singles and unfortunately, if you've heard one you've pretty much heard them all. Daughtry will always have a place in my media library for his singing voice but the album "Daughtry" gets three stars for lack of anything truly stand-out in the music.
The best non winner of american idol hands down. This is a great cd. MP3 Caprice brings amazing quality downloads and i highly recommend downloading this one.
