Like pretty much every Residents fan ever, this is the record that got me into them. This album is proof that The Residents do know what they're doing with their music. They just choose to take different directions than what's conventional.
Each of these songs is a masterpiece by itself, with the crazy instruments and nonsensical lyrics, and some of the tracks are among the creepiest songs ever composed by The Residents. My favorite ones are "Constantinople", "Laughing Song", "Semolina" and "Weight-lifting Lulu". Pretty much everything on this record is worth a listen, though. I couldn't recommend any other record more than this one for starters.
