Eurovision Song Contest: Kyiv 2017by Various Artists

Another strong year in the Eurovision series, 2017 treats us to more great party songs as well as, and this is a first for me, some truly beautiful ballads. Lucie Jones did the UK proud with one of our strongest entries in recent years whilst Finland were extremely unfortunate not to make the final with Norma John's stunning "Blackbird". Other highlights include Norway, Hungary, Sweden and Moldova, all of which made the top 10 alongside the fun "Occidentali's Karma" from Italy, the downright bizarre "Yodel It!" from Romania, and the true standout of the year, Salvador Sobral's "Amar Pelos Dois" giving Portugal their first win after 53 years.
