Tracks
Disk #1
Also by Peter Frampton
This was the crowning moment for this young talent from Kent, England and ex Humble Pie member, who's album would go down in Rock history. Everybody that I knew from my time as a teenager was playing Frampton Comes Alive as loud as it would go, in their cars in their homes and at all the parties. Peter did a wonderful thing here picking his best songs from what was just average solo albums to create new energy with a live audience and the chemistry was a masterpiece, -he just Shines On -every pun intended. On the intro song of this arena rock album was -Something's Happening- and I do believe that something was indeed happening and when he played this song it sounds so alive and fresh. Frampton can really play guitar, in my opinion very underrated, and as a singer he is top notch and he is a really great songwriter. With the huge hit- Show Me the Way-he also became AM friendly with beautiful song -Baby I Love Your Way- he was destine for greatness. Then of course the FM classic song -Do You Feel Like We Do- was not only a top40 hit but a huge rock hit , with his guitar talk box and the audience responding to his talk box banter is truly a great way for them to be part of the songs mystic. The Tunes that truly rock out are -I'll Give You Money-It's A Plain Shame- and the Rolling Stone's Classic -Jumpin' Jack Flash all with some really hot guitar work. He also proved he could do a great ballad and acoustic piece like the songs -All I Want Be Is By Your Side- and the magical song -Wind Of Change, which is one of my favorite slow songs on this edition. I Wanna Go to the sun- and Lines On My Face- show off his songwriting and some great piano and keyboards from Bob Mayo. With this Deluxe edition you also get some extra live songs from the concert, which is great because I always wished he would have put -White Sugar- on the LP and now it is here. Also another good song is -Nowhere Is Too Far My Baby- this rocking tune seems like it fits right with the other classics. This is a really good remaster and a forever classic rock album from a true ICON please give it a listen you will feel as though you were there again or for the first time.
