Potliquor is a US based southern rock band led by songwriter/vocalist George Ratzlaff. This album is the group's second and best album released in 1971. George Ratzlaff has one of the best blues rock voices on the planet.
Check out Red Rooster, Levee Blues and Train to get a taste of fine howling vocals with a little gospel thrown in for good measure by Mr. Ratzlaff. Other strong tunes on this album are Cheer, which did get some radio play at the time. Lady Madonna and You're No Good has George at his best, interpreting cover tunes. Plenty of tasty of piano here to compliment the guitar, bass and drums format.
If you are a blues rock fan, you need this fine album in your collection!
