Tracks
Also by George Benson
"Livin' Inside Your Love" was, like its predecessor, the live "Weekend In L.A.", originally released as a double vinyl album. The set mixed jazz-funk instrumentals (three from Benson's pen) with vocal covers from Sam Cooke, Lou Rawls, Carole King, L.T.D. and The Righteous Brothers.
Earl Klugh guested on the title track, which he composed, whereas Steve Gadd was on drums (replacing Harvey Mason from the last few albums). Claus Ogerman shared orchestration duties with Mike Mainieri and these proved to be too overbearing for many listeners.
This was the last Benson album for some time that would be placed in the jazz section of the record shops (remember them?).
Download: "Livin' Inside...", "Nassau Day", "Love Ballad" and "You're Never Too Far From Me".
