Also by José James
I am a big fan of Jose James. His presence in the Jazz Vocal genre is epic and has produce a great back catalogue of work showcasing is unique and modern contribution to this genre. His ability to be flexible and meld genres like Jazz, R&B, Hip Hop and Synth in this album especially was a surprise and a welcomed one at that.
For the Jose James Jazz Vocal fans, this album is a bit of a departure from previous works, but not all that different. Sure Tracks like "Always There" and "Closer" lean more to Pop/Synth but work really well in this collection of different styles that have always been represented in most of James' albums.
I love this album for it's departure from past albums, showing that Jose isn't afraid to experiment and push his boundaries and expose his fans to his boundless talent.
I recommend this album highly...but my favourite will always be "No Beginning No End".
