I wanted to like this. Punk Goes Crunk was an okay album. This one is almost all screamo/metal. Half of these barely sound like the original song. I don't mind creative takes on songs (like Alien Ant Farm and "Smooth Criminal"), but this is just hard to bear.
If you're into screamo and metal, you'll probably enjoy this one. For me, it's a pass. There are a couple of songs that are good, such as "Bulletproof", "Need You Now", and "Heartless". I'd say "Bulletproof" is the best by far. "Right Now" and "Dead and Gone" are okay and at least mostly intelligible.
"Hot N Cold" is a little bit of torture. And, I love the original Justin Timberlake song "My Love", so it's hard to hear the chorus butchered up like this. I don't know what to think of "Blame It". I guess I'm sort of on the fence with that one.
This is one of those albums where you should just pick the singles that sound the best and don't buy the whole album unless you're really into the screaming. Save yourself the headache.
