Ready for the weekend is Calvin Harris’ latest album and it needed to impress after his first gold selling album of 2007 ‘I Created Disco’. Calvin’s upbeat flamboyant album gets off to the right start with an explosion of a jazz like saxophone over his usual electronic beats. His approach may not be as in depth or deep as other artists or his previous album but if you can appreciate his fun sounding ‘plinky plonky’ piano tunes with a diva vocals and a good beat then you’ll have this on repeat. Daft Punk lovers will appreciate tracks such as ‘You Used To Hold Me’ and ‘Limits’. Dizzee Rascal is also makes an appearance with ‘Dance Wiv Me’ – the upbeat collaboration between the pair which was released as a single in 2008 and stayed at number one for four consecutive weeks – it came 12th in the highest selling singles of 2008. An exceptionally fun beat crammed album that will definitely put a smile on your face.
