After a very long wait Blur are RETURNED with album # 7! Think Tank showed great progressl from their previous record "13." Here we see the band further develop their style involving a lot more layers and a lot more interesting sounds then before. While the band has been downsized to a three piece it is not readily noticable.
‘We’ve got a file on you’ is a rather weird track that has all the elements of the raw punk sound mixed with some Eastern sounds in the background. ‘Jet’ is another curious piece featuring a brilliant saxophone solo at the end. ‘Crazy beat’ is a major highlight having a very rought texture to it. ‘Out of time’ and ‘Sweet song’ are both quite nice pop tunes that work well as radio singles.
In this album Blur have pushed on their musicial boundaries and as a result have achieved some amazing songs.
