"The Discovery" as far as I'm concerned was truly the breakout album for Born Of Osiris. After kicking out the guitarist who really helped shape that genius album, expectations for BOO's follow up "Tomorrow We Die Alive" were muted to say the least. Despite the poor reception this album received generally, I think Born of Osiris demonstrate some interesting song writing and took some chances that paid off despite the growing pains. "Divergency" was a wonderful choice for a first single as it marries the standard off-kilter chugging the band is known for with an unusual dip into dubstep and electronics. The rest of this album takes creative leaps too such as "Machine" and the best track that Born of Osiris have ever written in "Illusionist". Album comes highly recommended to open-minded fans of progressive metal.
