Treat are back with a very good album. What a pleasant surprise to have this release in 2018. Treat are known for their melodic rock style with good hooks, nice chorus, and catchy songs. Their album Coup De Grace is one of the best in this genre. "Tunguska" is packed with good melodic songs. It is a big step forward from their previous album. When I first heard the two singles from this album, I wasn't very sure if they would be able to deliver another strong album. But I am glad to say they did. Standout songs are:

"Progenitors" starts us off with a long intro which I would have chopped, after that it opens this release with a strong sound. Great harmonies, strong melody and excellent musicianship. A melodic rock anthem.

"Best Of Enemies" is another catchy song with lots of melodies and chorus. In the Treat vein.

"Rose Of Jericho" is one of the first singles released and has a good melodic guitar riff opening the tune. Chorus is typical Treat with strong harmonies. It is a well packed single which I am growing to like.

"Hearthmath City" is another strong song. A very catchy tune. Great melody and stong harmonies. Background guitar keeps the song rocking. One of my favorites.

"Build The Love" is another winner with so many harmonies and catchy chorus. This group has a talent to be able to insert so many harmonies into their songs and this one has plenty. A happy energized song. A modern Bon Jovi should sound like this.

"Man Overboard" has a good strong guitar riff in the background keeping the song going along with all the vocals. The song has a keyboard solo giving it a special touch.

"Tomorrow Never Comes" is an ok ballad. This album is missing a strong ballad like "A Life To Die For"

Tunguska has a modern sound with a lot of energy that makes the band shine and deliver strong songs. Some are instant hits, others take a while to enjoy. Lots of hooks, nice big harmonies, riffs and memorable songs. The production and mixing are all crisp. A must buy for all melodic rock fans.
