"Watermark" is the 3rd solo release by legendary singer Art Garfunkel. This time around, Garfunkel covers an entire LP of Jimmy Webb songs (except the song "What A Wonderful World" that was added later after CBS refused to release the LP due to lack of commercial appeal) The results here are stunning, mostly the combination of excellent songs, musicians and arrangements. The title track "Watermark" that medlies into "Saturday Suit" is stunningly beautiful. "Shine It On Me" is also a hauntingly beautiful song. The hook laden "Crying In My Sleep" was the initial single released, yet failed to become a major hit. All and all, this is Garfunkel's best to date. Buy it!!!
