Against the Law was a turning point for Stryper in many ways, dropping the Yellow and Black and up front spiritual message for more of an attempt to blend in. Unfortunately fans felt confused and were not sure how to take this new approach.
Musically the album is solid and very well done, but did not recieve the popularity it could have for those reasons also due to financial difficulties with their label Enigma Records heading for bankruptsy.
