This is a pretty good album all around. It captures the folksy and gritty blues essence that makes fink so wonderful while also adding some darker flavors that could almost remind listeners of something from an early Coldplay album. The chord progression that Finn (the lead singers actual name) comes up with on this are unreal. But yet they are very real and it shows that the man knows how to communicate everything he hears in his head into song. Tracks like "blueberry pancakes" and "if only" are simply incredible because when you listen to them, you can't help but feel like there is no way this should exist. This album doesn't rely on ambient sounds capes and reverb soaked walls of sound. Instead it relies on raw musical talent acoustics which is pretty amazing when you hear everything that this album does with such a simple and down to earth set of musical tools. This album and this band deserves much more recognition than it gets currently.
