Waterparks deserves so much more recognition. This album, FANDOM, is amazingly spectacular. It is angsty and emotional, yet bright and fun, and the contrast is excellent. It also is humorous, which I like, because dealing with a breakup (though there are other topics throughout the album) can be overly serious. I love every song on this album with all of my heart, as well as this band. My favorite tracks on the album are War Crimes, Watch What Happens Next, and I Felt Younger When We Met. Waterparks has a great sound: they are classified as a fusion of pop-punk, pop-rock, and electropop, but also use hip-hop, jazz, and indie elements in their music. Though their music has progressively become more of the pop side of pop-punk/pop-rock and less of the punk-rock side, I adore this album and band and recommend it as highly as high can be!
