Recorded on September 30 and October 1, 2014 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, "Live At Orpheum" King Crimson (not a side project, they, with an "updated" lineup) is a fundamental document because it enshrines the comeback of one of the most important and brilliant bands in rock history. After years of legal battles, Robert Fripp is ready to give new music. Meanwhile, enjoy this live performance with a band consisting of three drummers (Gavin Harrison, Pat Mastelotto and Bill Rieflin), saxophonist Mel Collins, bassist Tony Levin and guitarist / singer Jaakko Jakszyk.
Is not fully convincing the interpretation of Jakszyk, especially in "One More Red Nightmare", it is difficult to repeat the original version with John Wetton. Rather after several projects with the same players, some of whom also extremely interesting, we are again talking about a band that wrote the story, thanks to which rock music is art with the capital "A".
The live ends with a timeless classic like "Starless".
