Murder By Prideby Stryper

"Murder By Pride" is a much needed album to us long time Stryper fans. Although it doesn't stand up to with the likes of "To Hell With The Devil" and "In God We Trust", it doesn't try to. They aren't making the hammy (although excellent) 80's & early 90's pop metal. They are mature christian musicians that don't have to hide behind a clever hook or chorus. They are themselves and do what they do best - honest Christian Metal. The best tracks are "Alive" and "4 Leaf Clover". The first time you hear "Alive" and the piano work, you'll believe that you are there witnessing a breaking heart with Michael Sweet as he sings and writes that song. "4 Leaf Clover" has become my all-time favorite Stryper song and christian motto. This song is worth buying the whole album by itself. While, I enjoy harder metal than a lot of these other tracks on the album, I like their style and enjoy their musical fellowship. If you enjoy Christian music and like loud guitars then by all means get this album. Good christian songwriting from a good christan metal band.

This CD is a return to a recognised Stryper sound and style this time. For over 25 Years STRYPER has been well recognised for their aproach to Rock , music with a positive message. This recording picks up where they left off with the THWTd era and offers a rich guitar sound.
