Paper Monkeysby Ozric Tentacles

I was enthusiastic about listening to this album. It did Somewhat let down though, I was expecting more of a Harder Rock anthem. The song Vapors left me feel like I was being chased through a jungle with all the Bass going off. It will be great in a Movie soundtrack envolving a chase sceen through the wilds of Kenya! I did enjoy the light volumed guitar that was consumed by the bass. In "Lost in the sky" I finally heard what I was hoping for from the band. A real Guitar Riff! This band can rock if they would shy off the electronic keyboards and Heavy Bass. Let the lead and Acoustic Guitars do their parts. Percussion was great and can only be described as needing more Guitar with it. One last note! When listening to "PLOWN" I swore that I was listening to a Steve Winwood song. Take that for what it's worth. HAHA! 3 stars and a disappointed reviewer on this one folks!
