Tracks
Basically, for his third solo album, Ronson ditches the horns and trades them in for synthesizers. When we say synthesizers, we are talking about vintage analog instruments that help give this album an 80's vibe. In addition to the new synthesized sounds, Ronson also has an impressive array of friends / collaborators that add to each song on the album. Casual observers will notice the appearance of Duran Duran's Simon LeBon and Culture Club's Boy George on their own respective tracks. Sure, these tracks grow on you with each listen, its the names you don't recognize that will leave a lasting impression on you. You will want to research them and find out what they are doing on their own. With that in mind, you will want to explore additional material by Theophilus London,Amanda Warner (MNDR), Andrew Wyatt, and Rose Elinor Dougall.
Clearly, with such an all-star team, these songs do stand up and get better after multiple listens. This is going to be on many 'Best Of' lists for 2010, and should be part of your collection as well.
