"Rich Man" is Climax Blues Band's 'breakthrough' 1972 CD. It attained lots of underground FM radio play, due to it's solidness. This is actually the British band's 5th CD; releasing a few originally under the name Climax Chicago Blues Band. Peter Haycock's brilliant guitar work is worth the price of this CD. Vocals are nicely split between Haycock, bassist Derek Holt and saxophonist Colin Cooper. "Standing By A River" and "If You Wanna Know" are the standout tracks here; incorporating all 3 lead vocalists with nice arrangements. "Mole On THe Dole" is very likeable and a melody that's easily remembered. "Shake Your Love" is a blues-based rocker; a signature song that carried them through all of their live performances.
