Silent cry comes as Feeder reach their sixteenth year together as a band, the band have stated they "didn't want to follow what some might have seen as a move towards retirement with a stale offering" which comes as gold dust for all Feeder fans. The first single from the track 'We are the People' holds a very positive outlook, the whole album feels geared towards big tracks, but in keeping with their style. Grant Nicholas (lead singer and guitarist for Feeder) has been quoted saying the album is "a step towards fulfilling what is left to achieve for the band, but also a step towards their roots". The album certainly feels like a new step for the band as if they have been revitalised. Some aspects have the Meat and two veg rock feel to it, which is likely to be the aspirational pull of Grant to take a step back to the bands roots. As an over view another good album to add to the Feeder pile, but at time perhaps not as big as some of the previous.
