Tracks
This album is a must have Lupe fans and fans of good hip hop in general. On his sophomore LP, Lupe pushes artistic limits and has a guest appearance from the Doggfather himself, Snoop. Tracks like Paris Tokyo and Goldwatch give a nod to rap's golden era and simultaneously flex Lupe's lyrical skills adeptly. The dizzying Go-go-gadget Flow show the influence of fellow Chi-town spitter, Twista. Fans of Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor will not be let down. The Cool is filled with tracks that display the flow that made him famous on his first LP. How could I not talk about the first single, Superstar. That song is awesome but the album gets better! This one is darker and also more polished than Food & Liquor. Many say Lupe could never top his debut album. Some say The Cool is better. I say, well done. Lupe avoids the sophomore slump and delivered an album that's a classic in its own rite.
