The first release by Hawthorne Heights was the best. I remember earlier in my teenager years hearing Hawthorne Heights for the first time and falling in love with the emo/screamo genre of music. This album is touching when you listen to the lyrics and are not as depressing and "emo" sounding as people make their music out to be. Besides "ohio is for lovers" which is the song on this album that phrases "cut my wrists and black my eyes" throughout the chorus. That being said, the band has a great style and flow to their music and is very relevant to their 2nd album "If only you were lonely" which is just as good.
