For a three song Extended Play, this album was not half bad. Though I only downloaded one song, the other two are still decent. They just did not strike me in the right place to add them to my library.
To start with the song 20th Century Towers. It is an ok song to listen to, but it kind of sounds out of place. It never gets going like you think it would. Ben does hold it up with his "as-always" fantastic voice, but to me it sounds as if they were trying too hard to not be mainstream.
The second song is Stability. Now if you have the patience to listen to this song it could make out to be a great one. But I don't, and didn't want to devote 12 minutes of my music listening before class to it. Personally, I feel like "I will possess your heart is a bit too long, and this song is twice the length of that." Maybe you will enjoy the listen, but I'm to impatient for it.
The last song on this album is All Is Full Of Love. A very great song from Death Cab and the best off of this album. I am pretty sure this is a remake off of the original because there are a lot of other versions of this song, most notably Bjork's version. Anyways, if you end up looking through these songs, this is definitely the one you want to pay the most attention to.
Again, a pretty good E.P. But not the best stuff that Death Cab for Cutie has produced. Give it a try and a listen. But if you don't like it, there are plenty other albums where you can go and find something. Enjoy.
