Excellent new album by Europe! Their best since they have regrouped. Start From The Dark was a great comeback with a new rock sound. After that release their songs have gotten weaker even though they have been consistent with their releases. War Of Kings, their previous release, was a big disappointment, since the band had talked so much about it. This release finds them in top notch. Lots of 70's bands influences, like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple. Great mixing of songs and many memorable tracks. The opening and title track, "Walk The Earth", has a catchy melody with great keyboards and guitar solo. Lot of energy in that song. All the songs have the classic Joey Tempest voice that is always recognizable on every song. His voice sounds still very good. "The Siege" is a good rocker with a Deep Purple feel to it with a middle eastern vibe. "Kingdom United" a guitar oriented tune continues the 70's style with much energy. "Pictures" is a slower song but with a great vocal interpretation. "Wolves" is another highlight of the album that stars with a strong distortion guitar. Classic sounding 70's riff. The closing song "Turn To Dust" is a great way to close this strong release. Again much keyboards giving it the right feel that goes well with Tempest's vocals. Walk The Earth is a pleasant surprise in a time when solid albums are hard to find.
