Skillet is among my favorite Christian artists. Unashamed of the Gospel, they offer lyrics that are both true to life and beg for a change of heart. The emotion they pack in their songs is amazing and makes for a great jam-session. In their album, "Awake," the songs, "Monster" and "Awake and Alive" both give tribute to the hurt we all face and the choice we have to overcome our past. In, "Lucy," we see a softer side of Skillet, and in "Forgiven," we are reminded of Christ's deep love for us. Stellar album, Skillet!
