Dustin Kensrue, formerly of thrice, has delivered a great album here. Don't expect Thrice when you listen to this album, because this is not that. This album is a more laid-back and calm rock album, driven heavily by an acoustic guitar. There are several great songs on this album. My favorites are: "Ruby", There's Something Dark", "Carry the Fire", "Juggernaut", and "Back to Back", although every song on this album is fantastic!
I love how each songs has a different meaning and purpose on the album. From a love song to his wife ("Juggernaut"), to a song about personal demons, and overcoming them ("There's Something Dark"), this album definitely covers any mood you may be in at any given time. The most catchy song on this album in my opinion is "Ruby". The melody, the lyrics, it all just makes you want to sing along to it.
This is a great album, and I would definitely recommend it to fans of soft rock, acoustic, and alternative music.
