First off, I'll just say that this music is so good and refreshing in a world where overused poppy beats and synths have become the norm. this music takes you back to the days of the 60s, while maintaining the clarity and crisp sound of today's music. I may not know much about this artist, but I know 2 things for sure: 1. He's an old soul, 2. He is talented and knows how to make good music!
My favorites are: "Coming Home", "Smooth Sailing", "Better Man", "Flowers", and "Twistin and Groovin".
I am excited to see what Leon does next. I know another album is a few years off, but the thought of what this guy will do with more experience, stories, and a more developed skill set is awesome. My hope is that more and more people discover this hidden gem of an artist. He has such a refreshing take on music and is destined to do well in this industry. Pick this album up, and you won't regret it.
