Heaven Or Las Vegasby Cocteau Twins

I finally listened to this album for the first time today and I blew me away! This is Cleary a point of inspiration for a lot bands and albums to come after it. I could hear things in this album that I hear in all kinds of artists music. For some reason, I can hear undertones here that remind me of bands that would come later down the line like beach house and the deftones. I feel like this is an album that I didn't even know I was always trying to find. It has so many elements that I look for in music altogether. It is rare to find albums that are as cohesive and consistant but don't get stale like halfway through. And when I got to the end, I was thinking it could have gone on for much longer.

I say all of that to say that this album truly earns the label of dream pop because it does feel like a dream that you don't want to end. I am looking forward to listening to more albums from the cocteau twins and I'm glad I finally took the time to listen to this absolute gem of an album!
