"Here And Now" is one of the best America CD's (after the sudden departure of original member Dan Peek) that has ever been released. Helped and co-produced by Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha & Fountains Of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger, America finds the striking formula of great pop songs and semi-modern production. Disc 1 is the 'studio disc' and Disc 2 is the "Live at XM Studios'. Gerry Beckley's "Chasing The Rainbow" opens disc 1 and it's a gem!! Other new studio songs that are fantastic are "Indian Summer" (a song written and originally done my indie band Maplewood) Dewey Bunnell's "A Walk In The Woods" and a cover of My Morning Jacket's "Golden". Disc 2 is full of America's greatest hits, performances as inspiring as the times they were released. A must CD for all!!!
