"View From The Ground is America's 10th studio LP. The band is Gerry Beckley & Dewey Bunnell. After the departure of original member Dan Peek in the late 1970's, the duo went forward in more of a 'pop' format rather than their earlier organic, acoustic-based sound. "View From The Ground" is a well produced 1982 CD, after their great "Alibi" LP. As a whole, this LP is slightly not as good as it's predecessor. Former Argent guitarist/vocalist Russ Ballard penned the opening track "You Can Do Magic" here, and of course became a huge hit. Bunnell's "Love On The Vine" and "You Girl" are the standout tracks here...classic America!! If you like 80's pop, this is a CD you should own.
