America is Gerry Beckley & Dewey Bunnell. After the departure of original member Dan Peek in the late 1970's, the duo forged forward in more of a 'pop' format rather than their earlier organic, acoustic-based sound. "Hourglass" is an excellently produced 1994 CD, after taking a 10 year recording sabbatical. Beckley/Bunnell's "Young Moon" starts off the CD is fine form, using slick production of layered synths. "Close To The Wind" is a fantastic Beckley song, again using layered synths. "Whole Wide World" and "Sleeper Train" are 2 Bunnell sung songs that are simply fantastic. The only reason I gave this a 4 star is because of the 2 'remakes' included that are not as good as the original America recordings. All and all, this is an America CD you should get!!!
