Jailbreak is easily the most recognizable album of Thin Lizzy. Songs such as “The Boys Are Back in Town” and “Jailbreak” are two classic examples of highly energetic hard rock of the mid-1970s. The Deluxe Edition of this album comes with several remixes and incredibly polished tracks from Thin Lizzy’s BBC Session. “Derby Blues” is a recording of a live session where Phil Lynott (Founding member, songwriter and lead vocalist of Thin Lizzy) seems to bluff his way into creating “Cowboy Song”. The lyrics of “Derby Blues” are highly improvised and the title of the actual track is mentioned mere seconds after Lynott states that the song has yet to actually receive a name. The Deluxe Edition of Thin Lizzy’s Jailbreak is a must own for any hard rock enthusiast.
