Here's a real gem of a recording, right from NYC. Hard to believe this follows their first album "Chains", given the incredible level of sophistication in the mixing, sampling and overall composition. Perhaps more successful with less looping, the tracks are considerably varied, flowing and captivating. Few can blend the beat, lyrics and instrumentation layering like Small Black does.
