The Dear Hunter's first album since the massive 9-EP Color Spectrum is a bit of a mixed bag. It contains none of the elements from the first 3 acts and as such is a significantly stripped down release. Initially, I found this to be pretty disappointing, however the more time I spend with "Migrant" the more the tracks reveal their depth. Songs like "Whisper" are instant classics, while "Shouting At The Rain" and "Sweet Naivete" take several listens to really sink in. If you have the patience to let a more subdued The Dear Hunter grab your attention, you are bound to find something to love.
