"Number One Hits" by The Bellamy Brothers has a collection of twelve great songs. You get twelve classic Bellamy Brothers songs on one CD. That's not a bad thing. Are The Bellamy Brothers country or are they pop? Well, they are both.
It starts off with the classic "Let Your Love Flow." This song has been around for decades. It is a proven classic.
"If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me" comes next. I like this song because of the meaning of the song. It could be taken different ways. A clever way of talking about sex without mentioning the word.
"Redneck Girl" is next in the lineup. One not need to be a redneck to enjoy the song. Great music to accompany the lyrics.
"Do You Love As Good As You Look" is another classic. Perhaps Bellamy Brothers are sex obsessed. Not a bad song. It has good music.
"When I'm Away From You" is a slower song. That's not a bad thing. It does have parts that are faster tempo, but the lyrics make for a slower song.
"For All The Wrong Reasons" comes next. Another sex oriented song. Oh well. They do it in a tasteful way, so it's not too bad.
"Dancin' Cowboys" gives us a break from sex. We get to enjoy a dance themed song. It has several instruments during the song.
"Sugar Daddy" puts us back into the sex realm. A slower song that is done tastefully. I like it.
"I Need More Of You" is probably my favorite song on the CD. It has great music to back up the great lyrics. That's not to say I don't like the other songs on the CD, as I do like them. "I Need More Of You" just has the right combination of music and lyrics.
"Old Hippie" is next. It is probably my second favorite song on the CD. It's a classic that has inspired several sequels. That is not a bad thing.
"Kids Of The Baby Boom" comes next with its great music. It has good lyrics to go with the great music. It's a classic that deserves to be on the CD.
The CD ends with "Too Much Is Not Enough." The Forester Sisters provide a good balance in this song. I like the combination of the vocals between The Bellamy Brothers and The Forester Sisters. It has a catchy beat to go with the lyrics.
There isn't anything new on this CD. It just provides us with twelve of The Bellamy Brothers best songs. For the price, it makes for a good addition to the library. Just don't go in thinking you'll get new material on the CD and you won't be disappointed. "Number One Hits" is a great CD to own.
