Paid Vacation is Richard Marx's fourth release and he decided to go in more of a softer Adult Contemporary/Country/Soft Rock direction. He had cut his hair short, decided to move his family away from the craziness of L.A. back to his hometown of Chicago, and was victorious in achieving a more truthful singer-songwriter style collection of songs. The album is great from start to finish with highlights including "The Way She Loves Me", "Silent Scream", "Soul Motion", "Now And Forever" (a decent hit on the charts and it was used in the film 'The Getaway'), and "Nothing Left Behind Us" (which included vocals with Vince Gill). Also included in this download are tracks that were not included on the album for much of the world such as "Whole World To Save" and "Miami 2017". Richard had definitely matured as a songwriter and an artist and this album is very worth the download!
