Paradise is an incredible second single from Mylo Xyloto, this single has obviously been designed to completely raise the roof on their live performances, featuring epic vocals and a violin & piano clad entrance it screams life. This is a real change from the Viva La Vida album previously released which features a less synthesized style. This song is undoubtedly a Coldplay classic.
"Paradise" is my favorite Coldplay song to date, it's the second single from their album "Mylo Xyloto". Simply gorgeous. It has a little more of the melancholy sound I was looking for in their previous single ("Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall"; btw, look for that lyric in the song!). Pretty heavy on the synthetic effects, processing, and background beats, which make an interesting contrast with the beautiful violin and piano sections that totally sell this mid-tempo song for me. The song also tells an important part of the album's story the album, speaking of the girl (the one dreaming of "Para-Para-Paradise..."). I love the lyric, "the wheel breaks the butterfly," a quotation from an Alexander Pope poem. Five stars for this bittersweet, beautiful song that is turning me into a Coldplay fan.
