Lindsey Stirling follows up her ground-breaking debut with a second offering that is even more diverse and rich in sound than before. While many artists tend to suffer from a 'sophomore jinx' on their 2nd album, Stirling seems to have kept all the momentum from her self-titled and hit the ground running with "Shatter Me".
The most striking difference between the two albums has to be the infusion of multiple full-vocal tracks opposed to a near 100% instrumental album like her first. While most of this album is still instrumental as well, there are more vocals utilized throughout, and 2 featured guest artists providing full-length vocals on the title track, as well as "We Are Giants". The result is yet another finely crafted piece of art that will please many-an-ear worldwide.
Let's hope she can keep the momentum going with future projects as well.
