Sofa Song is one out of two singles released for "Inside In/Inside Out" by The Kooks, and it is good. While I hardly consider it the best song on that album, it is pretty representative of the type of music on offer. That is to say: clean, stripped-down plucking at a guitar to support the voice of frontman Luke Pritchard. While "She Moves in Her Own Way" and "Naïve" would have probably been better choices in terms of attracting people, Sofa Song is good.
But, you know, why buy a single when you can buy an album that contains fourteen tracks, most of which are better than the ones featured on here. In short, a good single that gets superceded with ease by the album it intends to promote. None of the bonuses contained on the single make it worth owning over the debut album, therefore.
