This is a fantastic, proper foot stomping rock'n'roll album (little bit bluesy too maybe?) and it's real good fun. It opens powerfully with Fire and then the familiar catchy Glitter and Gold, but it's not all rousing chorus'. There's a few tunes here with some real emotional impact and its in these quieter, softer numbers that the singer's voice really shines.
I wouldn't say there's a bad track on the album and if you liked Fire and Glitter and Gold you're bound to find several tracks here you will love just as much - not to say they are all too much alike. This album soars and reigns itself in from track tot track and its never boring. Well worth buying!
